Art inspiration

In room 8 we were making animals that inspired us. We got inspired by the NZ artist Sheila Brown. Here is some recap of how we made it.
First we found an animal the inspired us. When we found the animal our teacher printed it. When we got it we color the picture like the real thing. We used pastels to color the picture.
Then we made a background the suited are animal. We put thr ee or two layers of paint when one layer is dried.
We cut our animal and stuck it on our background. We made sentences that said why that animal inspires us. When we finished that our teacher printed it and stuck it on the black paper
We shared our work by showing it in Room 2’s assembly. This is my art work.

  1. Kia Ora Khiel. Your colours on the horse look very realistic. What did you think about the process of trying to copy the art style of another artist?

  2. It was a bit hard and also fun. I respect how sheila brown does all this hard art work. But at the end it looked like what I wanted it to look like.

3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
